NEWS
The Norwegian Embassy has a vision to spread knowledge about Norwegian art and culture.
We support numerous exhibitions, conserts and different cultural events in Denmark.
This project we have called "Artist of the Month", and our aim is to present artworks made of professionel norwegian artists living in Denmark, by literally giving them "a wall to hang art upon".
We are very happy to support and help the artists, and at the same time we are very proud that they enlighten and make the hall of the Embassy more beautiful.
You can read more about the "Artist of the Month" on the link below:

both situated in Copenhagen. She has further artistic
education from the workshop of the danish textile artist Ann Mari Kornerup, north of Copenhagen.
Ingunn Vestby has participated in a great number of national and international exhibitions, both biennales and triennales. She has represented Norwegian Textil Artists Association in The Central Artists House in Moscow/USSR ,
and at "Norwegian Days of Culture" both in Riga/Latvium and in Gothenburg/Sweden.
She has acchieved a number of scholarships from the Norwegian State.
Ingunn Vestby has been purchased for collections, such as for Oslo City Arts Council,Ringereike Council and
The National Foundation for Art in Public buildings.
She has made a number of public decorations, including the Headquarter of Hydro Aluminium in Oslo, Royal CaribeenCruise Line /"Adventure og the Seas", Uranienborg and Boltelækka Primary Schools in Oslo and Ullevål Hospital in Oslo. She has represented Norway at different international textile symposiums, such as in Brussels/Belgium and in Warzaw/Poland. In her artistic works, she finds sources of inspiration from the elements and the processes taking place the nature.
She makes both large tapestries and embroidery on painted canvas. She often uses microscopic photoes of details in the nature, such as plowers, plants, leaves or planctons. A process of movement is taking place, and she aims to create new stories. By adding elements and dissolve details, she refers to an unstable condition. An attempt to literally nail something intangable and in change is taking place in her artworks. Basically she aims to make a tribute to the cyclus of nature.
